Harley-Davidson is dropping a second season of its great Free Rider YouTube series, starting strong with our mate Charlie Dixon!

Massive AFL career aside, we know Charlie for his boosted three-pedal CV8 Monaro, which is set to do battle in the new 9.5 bracket class at Drag Challenge ’23. He was part of Frank Marchese’s crew that won Drag Challenge 2018 in the Frank’s FAIRXW, and he now hosts Chux Garage on his Drivin’ with Dixon YouTube channel when he’s not slotting goals for Port Adelaide.

He also backs kids’ charity Variety, stepping up as an ambassador for their Aussie Muscle Car Run fundraiser. This year’s week-long journey will see teams of two drive ’63 to ’77-model cars from Murray Bridge to Mt. Panorama, with stops around country Victoria, ACT and NSW along the way. We’ll be there to bring you the action!

Charlie’s a keen rider too, so host David Genat caught up with him after a blast around The Bend Motorsport Park on a custom-designed ‘HOG40’ – a rad custom-designed Low Rider ST commemorating the 40th birthday of Australia’s Harley Owners Group (H.O.G).

Back at the Chux Garage home base, Charlie offers David some great insight into his affinity with bikes and why he’s got a passion for motoring.

The second season of Free Rider coincides with the 120th anniversary of Harley-Davidson, celebrating all that’s good about the iconic marque. The chat with Charlie is just the beginning, with a lineup including NRL hero Nathan Hindmarsh and TV host James Tobin still to come. Some unexpected names feature too, like model and Mad Max: Fury Road actress Megan Gale.

A new instalment of the series will go live on Harley-Davidson Australia’s YouTube channel each week, right through to November 10th. Missed season one? Check out the full back catalogue at Bike Torques – it’s a great mix of celeb guests and interesting technical stuff!
