1973 FORD LANDAU

How awesome is the Ford Landau? Ford Australia’s attempt at a luxo coupe wasn’t a big seller (thought to be 1385-1402 units, depending who you ask), but it represents glorious 70s excess.

While the Landau was built on the same wheelbase as the regular hardtop, it copped a big exterior glow up, including Lincoln-style front and rear treatment, vacuum-actuated headlight covers and full strip tail-lights. It was further differentiated from the hardtop with deeper C-pillars and squared off rear side windows, plus a vinyl roof.

The interior sported a walnut veneer finish with full instrumentation, air conditioning with control levers mounted on the centre console, reclining front bucket seats, tiny rear bucket seats, electric windows, power steering, inertia seatbelts, much-needed electric rear window demister, radial rubber, carpet on the cabin floor and boot, and leather everywhere else.

Our shaker-equipped example here is located in WA, you can check out the full listing here.
