Ross Gangemi’s stunning 1965 Mustang gets fine-tuned and ready to rock on road and track

Ross Gangemi’s ’65 Mustang fastback blew our mind when it debuted at Meguiar’s MotorEx earlier this year. The build features a world-first Harrop 2650-blown 363ci Windsor combo along with stacks of carbonfibre and Ringbrothers goodies, and outstanding paint and bodywork.

“Automotive Creations in Geelong did the body and paint and turned it around from a rusty bogged-out shell in just six months,” said Ross. They did so to an exceptional standard, with loads of custom touches everywhere you look. “It’s built to be a Shelby clone but with a modern look,” Ross said.

MPW Performance & Race Fab handled a stack of jobs on the car, including the engine bay and exhaust fabrication, wiring, and the fine tuning on the hub dyno, as you can see in the video above.

With a manual gearbox and a best of 861hp at the hubs on just under 12psi, the Mustang should be a weapon at events like the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge!

The SBF engine combo was built by Frank and the team at Dandy Engines. You can check it out in more detail and enjoy it screaming on the engine dyno in the video below.
