“We bought this 1964 EH in June last year as an abandoned project that desperately needed life,” says Brock Keegan.

“With a deadline of Cooly Rocks On 2024, my fiancée Jesse and I had a lot of work ahead of us, as the car is being built with minimal tools in a carport.
“Mods include a small-block Chev, three-quarter chassis, a custom diff, four-link, wheel tubs and an all ’round airbag set-up. The floor as been raised and a trans tunnel made to fit the Turbo 350 and one-piece tailshaft, and the front and back seats have been modified to accommodate the tunnel. The doors have been modernised by squaring the corners rather than keeping them round.
“Every single piece of this car has been custom-built and made to fit by us, including all the trim (except for the hoodliner). The exterior has now been painted pearl green with a pearl white roof covered in silver lacework.
“We’ve built a few cars, but this project has been really challenging and what dreams are made of. It wasn’t built to please all, but it’s truly a testament to our own capabilities.
“We made it to Cooly! We are having a few issues with it still and there is more to finish. It is still hard to believe what we created. Next up, we’ve got a C10 in the build.”
