THE second Cruising Nationals is on this weekend, in the southern NSW heritage town of Deniliquin. The concept of the Nationals is for hundreds of cool cars to take over the joint, along with plenty of bands, markets and a great party atmosphere. There’ll be a whole bunch of high-horsepower fun, with eighth-mile drag racing, a burnout comp, go-to-whoa and dirt drags.

34 Ford Roadster Dirt RacerThe driving events will take place on the Saturday out at the Deni Aerodrome, where there will also be plane and car displays, helicopter rides, a jumping castle for the kids, trade stands and lots of great food. On Saturday night, there will be a cruise route set up in town for the entrants to strut their stuff.

Willowbank Raceway DragsUp at Willowbank Raceway we have the Queensland Auto Spectacular on Sunday. There will be judged show cars and bikes, display cars and bikes, a huge swap meet area, timed quarter-mile test ’n’ tune drags in your street-registered car or bike, a large trade site area, wheel-changing competition, sound-off and more! Spectator entry is $10 and gates open at 7am.

Blown 67 CamaroWebby’s Old School & Muscle Car Reunion Cruise is on this Friday night in Brisbane. The cruise group will meet at Harry’s Diner on Newmarket Road, Windsor from 5:30pm onwards and leaves at 7:45pm, rolling through to Redcliffe. All old-school cars, bikes and trucks are welcome and it’s a completely free event.

HT Holden Ute CairnsAnother one in Queensland is the Cairns Steel Bumpers & Muscle Cars Meet this Friday night at First Shot Coffee on Mulgrave Road, Cairns. Get down between 6pm and 9:30pm in your rod, muscle car or street machine for a bit of friendly banter and a debrief of the Springmount Drags. After the meet up, a bunch of blokes are planning on taking a cruise into the city, which anyone is welcome to join.

Luckys Speed Shop 8A NwHonk! presented by the Heritage Bank is back again at Brisbane Street, Ipswich this Saturday night. This cool car show often attracts a lot of elite-level show cars, cruisers, muscle cars and plenty more. Plus, there’s live entertainment from A Band Called Twang. The action kicks off around 7pm, with cars sticking around until late.

Luckys Speed Shop 7A NwThe Regency Ramblers Rod & Custom Club Swap Meet is on this Sunday at the Luddenham Showgrounds, NSW. It will be $10 for swappers and $3 for lookers and gates open at 6am. There’ll be dedicated parking spots for muscle cars, rods and customs too.

Muscle Car Madness 26The Smiles of Strength Motoring Extravaganza is on at the Nambour Showgrounds, Queensland this Sunday. All muscle cars, customs, rods, trucks and bikes are welcome and there will also be food stalls, live music, tattoo parade, pin-up competition and even a bearded man parade. Gates open at 9am and public entry is $5, with kids under 12 getting in for free. If you want to enter your car it’ll cost you $10.

HQ Ute 022 DAY4 DC NwAt Heathcote Park Raceway we have a test ’n’ tune session and Dial Your Own shootout competition where the winner takes home $800. It’ll cost you $100 to compete and $20 to spectate; gates open at 8:30am with racing from 11am to 6:30pm.

Funny Car Burnout Perth MotorplexCranksters and Motorplex Presents Nostalgias 2016 this Sunday at the Perth Motorplex. The event includes a show ’n’ shine, swap meet, nostalgia drags and dirt driving. Cars will be on the drag strip from 10am ’til 4pm. It’ll cost you $25 to spectate for the day or $13 for kids.
