ONE big surprise from Street Machine Summernats 29 was an appearance by Jamie Whincup in the Red Bull Racing Australia V8 Supercar. Whincup came and ripped a few skids on the cruise route in his racecar, then took to the burnout pad to convert two sets of rear tyres into smoke – pausing halfway through for a V8 Supercar-style pit stop! The crowd went nuts, especially after Whincup tagged the wall while blazing through his second set of tyres.
