Street Machine Summernats 38 concluded yesterday with cooler weather ushering in a chilled, but action-packed atmosphere.

In the Open Class burnouts, Brett Battersby in BLWNLUX took home the chocolates.

Jono Kelly was stoked to take out the Pro Burnouts Redemption Round in his VK.

A record-breaking year to remember in the Haltech Horsepower Heroes climaxed with Darren Portelli’s HQ Holden romping home to victory with a best run in the finals of 3697hp.

We also check out some our favourite entrants in the video, including the Summernats 8 Grand Champion-winning Ford Galaxie! Built by Dennis Laing and now owned by Paul Pernechele, the Galaxie has been treated to a stunning glow-up, including having StewParris recreate the original graphics.

Also featured is Adam Povey’s mind-bending Peel P50…

…and Adrian Richardson’s BAD770 VK Charger.

Plus our final Summernats food review and a chat with out new Grand Champion, Adam Bickerstaff.

Summernats 39 tickets are already on sale, check them out here.
