A CONCEPTUAL rendering by Linda Vesperman in the Jan-Feb ’94 issue of SM provided inspiration for Tailspin, the incredible back-to-front FB Holden built by Adam and Kylie Perry. Legendary Howard Astill was on hand to help guide these first-time custom car builders, but the young couple did most of the work themselves. The finished product is an amazing feat of engineering, design and bodywork, complete with an R33 Skyline turret grafted onto the wrong-way-’round FB body. To top it off, the car has been built to drive, with full rego. A Top 10 spot at Summernats 30 was trumped by the car winning practically everything at MotorEx 2017, including Grand Master.
