WITH 1600hp on tap and a show-quality finish, Simon Mokdassi’s XYKING is the complete package. Simon first built the car as a fine XY GT replica, but was soon thirsting for more power. In went mini-tubs, a sheet-metal radiator support and boot floor, stretched rear quarters and a ’cage, among other mods, and a new Candy Apple Red paintjob. Simon then commissioned Sash at AN Racing to build the biggest and baddest Windsor he could: a Dart-blocked, ProCharged 440ci donk topped by a filthy big 1200cfm Dominator blow-through carb. Elite Custom Interiors kitted out the cabin to perfection, and XYKING wowed punters and judges alike at Summernats 30, scoring Top Interior, 2nd Top Sedan and 3rd Special Effects Paint in the street class, as well as People’s Choice.
