THE October issue of Street Machine has full coverage of the APSA Shootout, held at Benaraby Raceway late in August. One of our favourite cars was Dave Hillman’s VG Valiant hardtop. The beast is powered by a Milodon-blocked, 540-cubic inch Hemi, with an 8/71 blower and mechanical injection. Out back are a set of 29.5×11.5 inch rims, with Lambo-style scissor doors just for something different. Unfortunately, the Val broke low gear in the Powerglide on its first pass. That will teach Dave to use GM parts! Just kidding – we can’t wait to see this thing do some full-power passes.
