Street Machine to sponsor the 2026 Hidden Valley Track Championships!

Street Machine and the Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association are today proud to announce Street Machine as the naming rights sponsor of the Hidden Valley Track Championships, to the tune of $30,0000.

The Street Machine crew love a regional drag strip. The vibe at a well-run, community based country track is almost always top-notch, something that we’ve proved year after year in the course of Street Machine Drag Challenge. Country track staff have a uniquely calm, can-do approach to almost any crisis and are universally welcoming to both newbie and veteran racers alike. Likewise, the fans always appreciate the chance see new cars and the opportunity to talk to visiting drivers and their crews.

And yep, we have a great affinity for the Hidden Valley track and have always had a ball whenever we’ve visited for the NT Titles, Gazzanats or Nitro Up North.

Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association is having something of a growth spurt at the moment. The club announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with IHRA Australia late last year, a deal which will see the Pro Mod 600 series added to this year’s NT Titles meeting.

Beyond that, the club is focusing on building the the track’s roster of street car racers to its former glory, says HVDRA secretary, Michael Cameirao:

“The club has concentrated on Group One pretty heavily in recent years, but that has meant we’ve lost some focus on the street cars. We’re working really hard to bring that back. For example, the street guys can come and race at round one of the Street Machine track championship for $50 and their $30.50 day license fee. That means they get to grudge race all day from 12pm and then compete in the racing as well. We’re also offering cash rewards to street cars that cut a perfect light and the car that runs the highest terminal speed. It’s all about giving them lots of track time and making it fun.”

That sounds like a plan to us! The track is also working to build up their junior ranks and are looking to kick-start a junior bike competition – something we’ve seen work spectacularly well at Warwick Dragway in Queensland.

While Street Machine is specifically sponsoring rounds one, two and five, we’ll keep you in the loop for the NT Titles and Nitro Up North meetings as well, as the results of those meets will count towards the track championships as well.
