SDRA couldn’t be happier to have teamed up with Davison Ford in an exciting new naming rights partnership.
The venue will now power into the future as the Davison Ford Sunset Strip, setting the stage for a thrilling new chapter of drag racing action.

“Reuben (Dealer Principal) and his team at Davison Motor Group have been an integral part of our very successful Summer Street Series off street drag racing program for a few years now,” SDRA President David Thornton said.
“It is a huge honour to have them step in and increase their support to become our facility naming partner.”
Davison Ford is a well-established local business, known for being very community focused and for their assistance with several local sporting clubs and community groups.
“SDRA feels that Davison Ford is a good fit for the club, being local and community focused, we believe we are in a good position to give back and with Reuben himself no stranger to drag racing or motorsport, we believe it will be a great partnership.”
Reuben caught the drag racing bug several years ago, initially as a spectator and more recently as a driver.
In 2023 Reuben first rebuilt his XF Falcon and has since been involved in a number of events including the Street Machine Drag Challenge and will hit the track again in Super Sedan at the Drive Creative Easter Supercharged Shootout.
“I personally enjoy being out at the track but love that events such as the Summer Street Series offers people a safe space to race and stay off the streets and coming from an automotive family, the partnership is something that ties in well for us,” Reuben said.

“I am excited about the partnership and it’s exciting to see a local name supporting the track, as well as having the backing from a manufacturer.
“Ford are shaking everything up in the performance world and really committed motorsport, whether that be F1, off road or everything in between.”
With Davison Ford now on board until at least June 2027, the future of the SDRA is looking brighter than ever, with a record number of events planned at the venue.
The first official event as the Davison Ford Sunset Strip will be the Drive Creative Easter Supercharged Shootout, taking place Easter Saturday, April 4.

Qualifying is from 10am, with eliminations from 5pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate with entry $35 for adults, $20 for pensioners, $5 for children 12-16, those under 12 are free.
