Holden VZ Thunder ute
“I own a 2006 Holden VZ SS Thunder ute, which I’ve renamed DEVL6L. I’ve had her for four years, and there’s already been plenty of work done.

“It has Air Ride airbags under all four corners and sits on Lenso D-1R wheels painted in metallic black flake.

“The LS has had a full rebuild with a VCM 883 cam and ported and shaved heads. The 4L60E auto is built to be 1000hp capable with a Dominator 3500rpm converter, and the combo makes 420rwhp and 960lb-ft of torque.
“It has had a full respray in the original Devil Yellow colour, with IGL ceramic-coating done by Koraleigh Kustoms. The interior has been redone with custom-trimmed HSV Coulson seats by BNB Autohaus.

“There’s more mods to come down the track, including a dual-filter Holley high-rise intake and a custom tray set-up with speakers.”

Holden VH Commodore SL/E

“This VH has been in my family since 1982. It was given to me by my mum after she upgraded to another car, and it was perfect for getting me to work at the time as a young fella.
“I then got it resprayed in Midnight Violet Pearl, freshened up the 202, and drove it around like that on my P-plates. Eventually, though, I took it off the road for a major overhaul.

“I bought a 308 black motor and sent it to Eugene at Flowcraft, and he built it into a nice cruiser engine. But after a few years, I wasn’t satisfied – I wanted more power!
“So, with a little help from Chich at NLA Spare Parts, we ordered a Vortech V3 supercharger, and now it’s pushing 485rwhp! I’ve done all the work on it myself over the years, and I love this thing.”

Ford BA Falcon XR6
“I own a 2005 Ford Falcon BA XR6 in Velocity Blue, which I’ve had for just over a year now. The car was previously owned by a Ford engineer who had it from new; it had only done 70,000km when I took ownership.
“I’ve always loved the B-series Ford shape, and this is my second one, my first being a BF Mk2.5 XR6 in Conquer Blue. I’ve attended many All Ford Days over the years, and I noticed the majority were lowered with FPV wheels, so once I got this car, I already had a full vision in my head of how I wanted it to be.

“Modifications include an Xforce exhaust system, Blue Power cold-air intake, lowered springs and 20in Ford Argent Silver wheels. In February, I presented the Falcon at its very first car show, Showcars Melbourne Showdown 14 at Moonee Valley, where it was awarded Top 5 Post-80s.
“The plan is to continue enjoying the car and drive it as much as I can, whether it’s out to shows, local car meets, or even just out with friends for a drive – and it’s also my daily. I would like to thank both my parents for their continued support and attendance at every show.”

Ford XD Falcon GL

“My 1980 XD Falcon GL was a factory six-cylinder car, but I built a mild 351 Cleveland for it, with a solid Crow Cams stick, Yella Terra rockers, ported closed-chamber 2V heads, ICE ignition, a TFC high-rise manifold and a Holley 750 Street HP double-pumper carb.

“Behind the Clevo is a C10 auto, shift-kitted with a Dominator 3500rpm stall converter, while a 28-spline BorgWarner LSD rounds out the driveline, wearing slotted disc brakes. It’s lowered on Pedders springs and shocks all ’round, and rolls on 15×6 and 15×8.5 Street Pro rims. The car has been painted Lime Glaze from an XA Falcon.”

HSV Clubsport

“I bought my 2009 VE HSV E-Series II ClubSport nearly six years ago, running a slightly modified LS3. Since then, I’ve been gradually modifying it into the vision I’ve always had for it: a 1000hp machine for track days that can double as a show ’n’ shine trophy-winning car!
“The first piece of the puzzle was the installation of a built Truetrac LSD with 3.09:1 diff gears, rated at 850hp. Next was a twin 3in stainless exhaust system with quad tips, and a custom cold air intake.

“The paint has also been a bit customised, with the front bumper done in the original Switchblade Silver with a gloss-black insert that has a multi-coloured flake over it, as do all the black parts on the car, and the interior has been colour-matched to the outside. It’s slammed on adjustable coil-overs and sits on Lenso D-1RS 20in wheels.
“The next job is to take it to its first car show and enter it. This thing literally turns heads and drops jaws everywhere it goes with its presence; I’m definitely one proud owner!”
