IF there is someone out there who attends more events per week than Ballarat’s Chad Silvey, we take our hats off to them. His slammed ’84 Chevrolet C10 certainly gets around, whether it is cruising at Street Machine Summernats, or freaking out the squares at local rod runs.

“The majority of the modifications were performed by the previous owners, but since I purchased it in February last year I’ve slowly been adding my personal touches to it,” says Chad.

“To get it down low, they’ve fitted a Mustang II front end, raised the engine 2-inches, fitted a four-link rear end and airbags. The engine is a stock 350 Chevy and wheels are 22x10in American Racing all ’round. I’ve been surprised by the amount of positive comments and the attention it receives at shows and cruise nights, considering it doesn’t have the flashy paint or perfect bodywork.

“Big thanks to Phil Micallef for helping give the Harley signage that weathered look to match the patina paintwork, Troy from Palmer Air for perfectly applying my ideas to the airbrushed hardcover, and Brad ‘BLWNLJ’ Murnane for always being there to iron out any little niggles I’ve had along the way.”
