SHAUN Cole\u2019s eight-second VL Turbo was one of the bigger hitters at this year\u2019s Street Machine<\/em> Summernats 30 Horsepower Heroes dyno comp. Running a forged single-cam RB30 with a big Garrett GTX42 turbo and running on E85 juice, the car generally makes around the 760rwhp mark at over 40psi. The hot temps up in Canberra weren\u2019t doing Shaun\u2019s high-boost setup any favours, but the VL still managed to put 565.9rwhp through the rollers.<\/p>\n

The rest of the combo is a transbraked Powerglide with a nine-inch rear end. The car is regularly driven to and from Calder Park where it has run 8.8 @ 155mph before.<\/p>\n
