CASTLEMAINE ROD SHOP

LC TORANA

JUN 2017

CASTLEMAINE Rod Shop’s insane blown, big block-powered, bare-metal LC Torana neatly showcases the business’s rad parts and know-how. The only remaining original panels are the turret and one rear quarter panel – everything else has been replaced, re-jigged or re-engineered. And no, they don’t plan on painting it any time soon, and that’s totally cool with us because the clearcoat finish looks epic. The new CRS-built chassis holds a bespoke front end with rack-and-pinion steering, plus a CRS nine-inch rear on a four-bar set-up, and it’s ’bagged both ends. Up front is a BNR Engines-built, 14/71-blown, 568ci Dart-blocked mill running on methanol, good for 1450hp. This mental Torry has been built for the burnout pad, where it’ll chug around 60-70 litres of go-juice per skid!
