WHILE the insane Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars stole the spotlight at the Portland drags a few weekends ago, there was no shortage of tough street cars and slick track weapons running fast numbers. Everything from dragsters to Pro Street stunners, vintage gassers and mental flame-throwing rotaries could be seen running passes down the South Coast Raceway’s sticky eighth-mile strip. One bunch of mates all running Henley Chassis cars managed to make personal best passes in their cars which included a Datsun ute, a couple of mint Toranas, and a Mustang streeter.
