WITH such a big burnout pad at the Ballarat Airport, the boys and girls skidding at UBC 8 this year were making some spectacular entrances onto the burnout pad with crazy tip ins. During the early stages of the day before the pad was covered in rubber, the inconsistency of grip between the concrete and bitumen bits of the track caught a few drivers out but after a few skids they got the hang of it. It was less of an issue for the blown beasts but it was a challenge for the first batch of aspirated cars.
