OVER 7000 burnout addicts headed to Sydney Dragway last weekend for Brashernats – and what a show it was.

Around 114 entrants pitted themselves against the pad to see who could put on the best smoke show. Some crashed, some burned and others did both – this show lacked nothing for action. There were plenty of old favourites in the line-up, and they mixed it up with the young guns looking to make their mark.

But amid the shredded rubber, melted engines and roaring crowd there were some outstanding performances. Past winners Matt Power and Adrian Cuthbertson both made the Top 30 finals. As the sun went down, the air temperature might have dropped in the stands, but the on-track action was hot enough to keep everyone glued to their seats. The battle was epic as car after car smoked out the pad.

In the Blown class, Steve Loader took the crown – and a Burnout Masters slot – with UCSMOKE. Second place went to Adrian Cuthbertson in SKIDMA, who will join Steve at Summernats 29. Matty Power and T4TUFF finished third.

With the third Burnout Masters ticket going to the top Naturally Aspirated entrant once again, Justin Paige and TYRKILR will be joining the boys at Summernats.
