IF YOUNG gun Charlie Sant is any indication, the future of our sport is in good hands. At just 16 years of age, he owns this superb HK Kingswood, completed just days before Powercruise 71 at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Cars are in the blood for Charlie – his dad is renowned car-crafter Paul Sant, and he has one of Australia’s leading workshops in ProFlo Performance conveniently located in his backyard!

His passion for modified cars is immediately evident, and he’s done a knockout job with the HK. It’s powered by a small-block Chev/Turbo 350 combo, and while it still retains a decidedly factory flavour, Charlie has added a raft of personal touches throughout.

The car cut laps at Powercruise 71 with Paul at the wheel, while Charlie faces an agonising four-month wait until he’s old enough to get his P-plates and drive the thing on his own. At that point he plans to rack up plenty of street kays and hit up a bunch of local shows.

It’s awesome to see someone so young with the enthusiasm and drive to tackle such a high-quality build. It will no doubt be the first of many!
