THE Shepparton district of Victoria is a hotbed of street machining. Not only does it host the long-running Springnats event, it is also home to some of Australia’s top shops, including Southern Rod & Customs and Maskell’s Customs & Classics. Hundreds of Street Machine feature cars have been built in the area over the years and the main newsagency sells more copies of SM than any other in Oz!

James Crawford's HG KingswoodJames Crawford’s HG Holden is a prime example of the kind of car that gets built in the district. Inspired by a love of Steve Loader’s famous UCSMOKE HG Premier, James’s HG has been built as a tough cruiser and was featured in the July 2015 issue of SM.
