STREET Outlaws’ James ‘Doc’ Love was at the 2016 Performance Racing Industry trade show in Indianapolis with his ’70 Monte Carlo, otherwise known as the Street Beast. Sporting a new EFI set-up and a new chassis for 2017, Doc had his car display at the Mainline Dynamometers stall in the Indianapolis Convention Center.

Doc had recently decided to make the switch to EFI on the 728-cube big-block Chev, and picked Aussie company Haltech to do the honours. “After a bit of research, I decided to go with a Haltech system for our application. I felt it was the best route to go,” he explained. The fact that the Elite 2500 can handle a four-stage nitrous set-up was apparently a key factor in the decision.

Doc and the Street Beast were happy to be a part of the display, due in part to the fact that Mainline’s products had been instrumental in ensuring an easy and successful transition into a fuel injection set-up on the Chevy, with the tune being done on a Mainline unit at EFI University.

The Discovery Channel star had his hands full with interviews and signings, but took a little time to chat to us about how Aussie companies Mainline and Haltech have made 2016 a great year for him and his Monte Carlo. Check it out!
