ONE of our favourite cars at the recent Adelaide Auto Expo and Hot Rod Show was Mark and Frank Navacchi’s VC Valiant. While it looked like a stocker, the old girl has a few subtle tricks to its name and a super-high quality finish. So much so, the judges awarded it the Judge’s Favourite trophy.

Chrysler Valiant VC Wide 1The Val has a pretty cool story to it as, well. “I was handed the keys to Nonno’s VC a few years back,” Mark said. “He’d bought it new, while working as a foreman at Adelaide’s Chrysler factory.” Mark started the rebuild, but then a move interstate for work saw the Valiant move into the capable hands of his dad Frank. Frank oversaw the project’s completion, including the vibrant paint, smoothing of the engine bay, pearl-cream vinyl interior and mild 225ci build.

Even the boot is trick, concealing not only a killer audio system, but also a bar and coffee machine! As Frank says, perfect for picnics; we’re sure Marks’ granddad would be proud as punch.
