RUSS Tonkin bought his HT Holden sedan about seven years ago off a young bloke who was going to jam it full of speakers and build a stereo car. Instead, Russ took the car down the street machine route by slotting a 396-cube small-block Chev with a big-shot nitrous system. The engine is hooked up to a Powerglide and nine-inch diff combo and she’s good for high nine-second passes down the quarter.

The engine bay has been beautifully smoothed and the interior restored and caged. It’s a killer build, check out the video as Russ talks us through the car.
