IF YOU’VE never been to a tractor pull event you need to get along and check out the action because these things are batshit crazy! If you need any evidence of this, then look no further than Brett Harris’s Blown Income.

Blown Income falls into the Open Mini Modified category of tractors, which means it is lightweight and over powered. Generally these intense machines weigh less than 900kg but they’re powered by engines that you’d generally find in Top Alcohol dragsters or high end burnout machines. To keep the weight down these crazy monsters aren’t much more than an engine, transmission, differential and a seat.

The whole aim of tractor pulling is to drag a weighted skid as far as possible down a 100m long track. If more than one tractor in the class hits the 100m mark and achieves a full pull then those tractors go into a pull off for the top prize.

We had the opportunity to watch Brett’s tractor in action at the Tooradin tractor pull last weekend and that has given us a healthy respect for the drivers of these wild little rockets. Watch as Blown Income dances around like a feral cat on a leash as it drags a heavily laden sled down the track.
