WHITEWALL tyres are one thing, but white wall wheels?

It sounds crazy, but they are real and we checked them out at Meguiar’s MotorEx in Sydney over the weekend. The premise is that if you want decent-sized brakes on your big custom cruiser, they can be tricky to fit behind old-school rims. The solution offered by the guys from GI Performance are a set of 20in alloy rims with a rubberized paint surface that looks like a big wide-white sidewall. You then pop a modern thin-sidewall tyre on it and Robert is your mother’s brother.
