Pikes Peak International Hillclimb attacts insane machines every single year, but in 2014 one car in particular caught our attention.

It’s a 1963 Ford Falcon owned and built by Aaron Kaufman of Gas Monkey Garage fame. You may recognise the guy from Discovery Channel’s show Fast N’ Loud.

GMG bought the Falcon as an unfinished project from veteran racer Jim Hadden – the man behind the original Shelby Super Snake.

The ’63 gained a 500hp 363ci Boss Ford Racing V8, new wheels, tyres, suspension, brakes and upgraded roll cage.

To prove its ability as a racecar, Kaufman took the Falcon to Pikes Peak earlier this year. He conquered the hillclimb in 12min 53.892sec finishing second in class.

Check out the video here to see it in action. The full episode of Fast N’ Loud featuring the build of this car is currently available by clicking here.
