DON’T rely on Santa to do the right thing by you this Christmas. Get out there and shout yourself a gift that keeps on giving – a kick-arse muscle car! With everything from classic American and Australian metal to vintage speedway cars, there’s sure to be something to suit your tastes at the December running of the Lloyds Classic Car Auction. Bidding ends soon, so let’s take a look at what’s on offer.

You’ve got to love the sleek, drawn-out lines of a C3 Corvette. This one’s a ’78, and Lloyds tells us it’s an unrestored survivor car out of LA. With T-tops and leather, it’d make an awesome cruiser.

Are you a Ford fan who’d love to build your very own Blue Oval-spec version of the Farmtruck? This ’78 F250 Cab Chassis is the perfect base for such a project. Stuff a nitrous-ingesting 460ci big block in it and go fishing!

Opportunities to own a car built by the legendary Howard Astill are few and far between. This ’66 Mustang coupe (as featured in Street Machine) is a piece of pro touring perfection, with a tough alloy-headed Windsor, manual transmission and quality underpinnings. Get on it!

The term ‘barnfind’ gets tossed around a lot these days, but it seems appropriate in this case. S-series Valiants have an incredibly distinctive shape, and often all they need to look cool is a serious ride height correction. We’d finish it off with a set of Tasman alloys with thin whitewall tyres and cruise it relentlessly.

With a small-block Chev, Turbo 400 transmission and nine-inch rear end, this LX Torana hatch looks like a bit of a toughie. Inside there’s a full suite of AutoMeter instruments and a cage. With bidding sitting at just $25,090 at the time of writing, it’s certainly worth a crack.

The days of cheap HK/T/G Monaros are long gone, so if you’re after a bargain, this probably isn’t your car! Lloyds tells us this car is a genuine HT GTS 350 four-speed, making it one of the most sought-after Aussie muscle cars of all time. With bidding about to eclipse $150,000 at the time of writing, it’s sure to fetch a pretty penny.

And there is heaps more on offer, check the whole lot out here
