FORD RACING CAR AND MEMORABILIA AUCTION

WE have seen some pretty impressive car collections over the years, but if you are into the golden years of Group C touring car racing – and the Blue Oval in particular – then the Harris Racing Museum will blow your mind. John Harris and his son Craig have a long history in motorsport and over the last couple of decades, they have transformed Craig’s race car workshop into one of Australia’s best man caves.

Ford FalconThe whole collection goes under the hammer this Saturday in an unreserved auction. The star items are four Group C Falcon touring cars – two XC hardtops, one XD and an XE. The road cars aren’t too shabby either, and include a 1969 Ford Torino Talladega Fastback, a big block ’68 Ford Mustang Eleanor clone built by Justin Hills, an XA GT Falcon RPO83 and pair of Fairmont Ghia V8s – one XD and one XE.

Ford FalconBesides the cars, there is a ton of motorsport memorabilia, some cool model planes, an ex-Commodore Cup 253 engine and a handful of highly desirable motorcycles.

Ford FalconYou can bid online here and the public is welcome to the auction at 29 Violet Street, Eagle Farm this Saturday, with bidding kicking off at 12.00pm.
