IF YOU’VE got a thing for horsepower then the June issue of Street Machine has enough to quench any thirst.

_5CT3600We kick things off with Leigh Haintz’s blown and injected 1000hp Monaro and it only gets better from there.

Pontiac -laurentianWe check out Dennis and Luke Deane’s beautiful Pontiac Laurentian. It’s black, bagged and blown and was unveiled at Summernats 29.

Ford -popular -hot -rodBut if you’re after something crazier then look no further than Aaron Thomas’s twin turbo Ford Popular. With its short wheelbase and some serious grunt, this little blue rod is the wildest eight-second ride you’ve ever seen.

1950-chevy -pickupFor those looking for a cruisier ride there is Ben and Luke Sacilotto’s 1950 Chevy pick-up. The super smooth panels and ground scraping ride height make it the centre of attention wherever it goes.

Holden -commodoreEarly Commodore fans will love Benny Leat’s VH sedan; it’s packing a healthy dose of ‘plastic’ power up front and it’s so clean you could literally eat off it.

E55-chrysler -chargerFor the Mopar fans there’s Peter Selby’s E55; it’s sure to get a reaction. Purists will hate what he’s done to a genuine E55, but the performance addicts will love the 875hp sprintcar engine shoehorned up front.

Ford -Falcon -XB-GSWhile the Ford guys will love Alyn Blackshaw’s XB GS sedan. He rebuilt the fast Ford after someone decided to use it for soccer practice. It’s a sweet ride.

Camaro -ZL1As is Tom McGilton’s twin turbo 2013 ZL1 Camaro is seven-second street monster. He won his class at Hot Rod Drag Week and did the 1200 mile trip in air conditioned luxury.

Chryslers -on -the -murrayWe also talk to Senator Ricky Muir about his time in Federal Parliament, get wet at Supernats, drool over hundreds of Chargers at Chryslers on the Murray, kick old parts around at Ballarat swap meet, check out ICON’s workshop in California and feel the heat from the burnouts at Lardner Park Motorfest. Phew, what a month!
