A TWO hour rough cut of Mad Max: Fury Road – with incomplete special effects, music, sound and visual effects – was shown at Warner Brothers Burbank studio on May 1. George Miller’s first new Mad Max movie in 30 years stars Tom Hardy in the title role. Reaction to the screening was positive amongst the movie geeks invited to attend the test screening:

“This is kind of like Mad Max II: The Road Warrior on steroids,” Randy from AFTimes writes. “It’s go-big-or-go-home, bug-nuts crazy!

“You, remember the third act of The Road Warrior, the bad-ass truck chase that is still hailed as a masterpiece of filmmaking? You do? Good. Because that’s what this whole movie pretty much is – and it works! A chase that goes long and deep into the heart of Miller’s post-apocalyptic world. It opens up and hardly slows down.”

Sounds like it might be worth the wait! Mad Max: Fury Road will roll into cinemas on May 15, 2015.
