SUMMERNATS BURNOUT CHAMPIONSHIP-WINNING VK WAGON – TUFFST

Take a look at TUFFST, the show car quality burnout car that won the Summernats 31 Burnout Championship

WINNING the Street Machine Summernats Burnout Championship is no easy feat. The quality of cars and drivers across the field seems to get higher each year as more top level burnout beasts join the scene. Only ten of the very best make it through to Sunday’s Burnout Masters comp, and the guys that don’t qualify for the big show end up in the ‘regular’ competition.

This year saw the likes of Peter Grmusa in ATRISK, Dave Cufone in 1FATRAT, Ross Heasley in MRBADQ, Steve Edsall in SKDUTE and many more seasoned veterans compete in the Championship. Phil Kerjean was also entered in his TUFFST VK Commodore wagon and absolutely dominated the pad, particularly in the final where he had some very close encounters with the walls and used up a lot of space! Impressive driving in what is essentially a show car quality build.

That performance saw him crowned Summernats 31 Burnout Champion, so next year we’ll see him skidding in the Burnout Masters comp.

Check out the cool video the guys from Nulon put together a couple of years ago on Phil’s TUFFST VK wagon.
