PAGEY takes out the Summernats 30 Burnout Championship with his blown HZ Holden ute

ANTHONY Page became the first West Australian ever to take out the Burnout Champion gong at Street Machine Summernats this year with his PAGEY HZ Holden ute. Pagey was one of the competitors in the Last Chance Wildcard Shootout on Thursday and, like fellow West Aussie Matt James, his skid ended in flames which meant he didn’t make the cut for the Burnout Masters – so he had a crack at the regular championship instead.

Pagey’s qualifying and final skid were almost a mirror image of each other, proving he’s not only ultra-consistent but he isn’t the type of bloke to just wing a skid. He kept the fresh paint job on his blown 410-cube Holden ute off the walls of the Summernats pad and pumped out a massive amount of smoke to get first place ahead of Tim Brown in his VK Calais in second and Peter Grmusa and his new FDIS Ford F100 in third.
