If SEMA were a car show it would be the greatest car show in the world, but it’s not a show, it’s a trade extravaganza where the best manufacturers in the world – both OEM and aftermarket – show off their new wares, along with more than a few killer rides.

The general public can’t buy a ticket to SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association); you have to be in the industry to get a ticket. Even with such restrictions there’s upwards of 60,000 people filling the halls looking for the next big thing to market to their customers.

Street Machine’s own Iain Kelly has been in Las Vegas all week checking out the latest and greatest and in this cool video and he takes us on a tour through the main hall at SEMA. There’s everything from bespoke hot rods through to retro-tech Mustangs and re-bodied Cadillacs. If that doesn’t get you going there’s also bare metal art deco creations, Camaros ranging from the first to ever roll off the line to the latest COPO drag pack cars and some 1700hp diesel engines.

SEMA is an all-you-can-eat automotive smorgasbord and it‘s nearly impossible to see it all in just four days. Check out the video and stay tuned for a closer look at the coolest cars from America’s biggest “not a car show”.
