VIDEO: INTRODUCING OUR PROJECT HOLDEN LX TORANA HATCH

We're building a Holden LX Torana hatch and you could win it!

INTRODUCING our latest project car, a Holden LX Torana hatch that we’ve dubbed ‘Fifty Shades of Blue’ because of its uniquely bad paint finish. Apart from the paint this thing is actually pretty clean though, it was originally a six-cylinder car from the factory that someone has turned into A9X replica at some point. So it has the nice fat wheel arches with some wide retro-flavoured wheels and a 253-cube V8 under the bonnet with an Aussie four-speed manual gearbox.

We’re not really interested in that stuff though because our plan is to pull the whole car apart and put a tough drive line in it, as well as fix up the paint. Hint: it’s going to be a hell of a lot brighter and faster than it is now.

Reliability is also going to be a big factor in the build because at the end of the project we’re giving this car away to a lucky reader. Stay tuned as we continue with this project and look out for your chance to win the finished car!
